Its what ever the factory u-joints are. somebody on another forum said that I would have to shorten my drive shaft but not sure it that true or not. I cant just install the engine and transmission and measure its my DD so im trying to get my ducks in a row first so im not down long.

This here is what you want GM Turbo 400, TH 400 / 4L80E Transmission & T/C Slip Yoke 1350 (331) U-JOINT | eBay

I had to trim 1.25 inches off of the yoke and non on the ds. You'll also need a conversion ujoint if you are going to run the stock ds, I used a moog 447

You dont need to shorten DS on the 80e swap but may or may not have to cut the yoke down, it depends because there are various output shafts (all 32 spline) on the 80e as well as various yokes.

When I did the swap on the 99 excab I used the Trans and yoke out of a 99 express 2500 with a puj 447 conversion u joint from napa. Factory 1500 u joint is a 3r and the 4l80e is a 1350.

FWIW I had an 02 ECSB Z71 years ago.... short story I had broken a few Drive shafts. I kept the slip yokes as spares. I did an 80e swap used my 4x4 slip yoke on my drive shaft

The 4x4 trucks use 32 spline output shafts that can be repurposed for 2wd apps
