4l60e replacement help!

Oh and I did it on the floor. It wasn't too bad.

no transfer case thanfully, i think i will tackle this while on thanksgiving break. just need to order the tc. thank yall for the help. ill keep you updated

On the trans the black box i guess your refering to is the neutral saftey switch/gear selector? Reason i ask is because my truck has been acting up and not want to stsrt unless i out it in N or play with it key in, try to start, and the try nuetral again. Today it did that for over 30mins on my way home fron work. Whats your recommendation on trying to change it then? Also, it was only $50 for the box without the plugs. Guessing i need to heat the plug up and glue it back when done?

from what ive seen, yes, that sounds like the issue. snidertron3000 on youtube had this problem and made a video on it. i think that will fix it, and yes youll need to heat them up to remove them from what ive seen.

Funny you mention him. Ive been following him for awhile now. Its insane how much better the vids have gotten better over time. Guess i didnt see that one thought. Thanks.

I just removed mine last week on the garage floor. 15mm wobble socket and a couple long extensions to get the top bolt out will help you greatly.
