2009 Chevy Silverado Performance Upgrades!!!!!!
 

I just picked up my new...well new to me. 2009 Chevy Silverado and I am wanting to build reliable power and DD. It has the 5.3 motor with the 6L80E and I wanna know if there are anything anyone has done that was a great upgrade, or just a waste of time. Anything I need for the transmission that will help it last, and what kind of gears would be good for that rear end. All input is greatly appreciated.

most people do the tru cool 40k tranny cooler. a tune will make a night and day difference power wise. also headers will also pick up some power

I would just start with some bolt ons depending on what performance you're looking for..
Intake ..headers ...some 4.11s or 4.56s TruTrac..3200-3600 TC ...and definitely a trucool 40k cooler to keep the tranny cool..as for the tranny ..maybe a Corvette servo ..could add a shift kit as well ...obviously a Tune

Yea I was going to do some gears but I am not sure what kind of gears to go with. with it being the 6L80E and not the 4L60E Like hat I had in my old truck.
