hey guys i know i have the other topic about my truck but a couple a days ago a friends son bought a 04 rcsb stepside 4x4 and wants to lowered it 2/4 any problem with lowing a 4x4?

best way to get it done?

You can also just remove the factory lift block on the 4x4 trucks and install a 2in drop shackle to get a 3.5in rear drop without going through a rear flip kit. Trim the bump stops and get rear shock extenders brackets for cheap or new shocks.

This is what I'd do instead of the flip kit. On my previous 2wd truck I did hangers and shackles which is alot more labor.

My 05 Z71 RCSB is lowered with purple keys and shortened bumpstops, rear block and bumpstop bracket removed, lowering shackles, and KYB shocks. The ride is firm, but not bad.

not a rcsb but we have a 2/3 kit on my girls 03 Z71 Tahoe, no 4x4 issues and we plan to do a 3/5 kit next year some time and leave it 4x4. I did do a set of helper bags for towing and it helped when just cruising with it as well.

he ordered spindles and shackles plan to remove the blocks so it will be 2/3.5
