1999 auto headlight solution

For those with a 1999 pickup I found a way to get the ability to use a 2000 BCM with the dome-override headlight turn-off in a 99. I found a 2000 BCM used at a parts yard for cheep. The one problem with the used one is that the theft code for them is different and will immediatly turn the truck off when started. So searching Google found the way to get the code to change to work with the truck. The sequence is to turn the ignition to run without starting the truck and when the security light flashes, let it go for about 10 minutes or till it stops. After 10 min turn the ignition off for 10 seconds. Follow that process 2 more times and wait 10 sec. after the third time and the truck should start. But for me I ran into one problem and had to use EFI-Live to disable the anti-theft system (Change the Class-2 to None under theft in the system's group) to run. Now I dont know if it will be the same for all but was the only way to work. So all said and done everything works like it should but now I have the ability to turn the lights off at ease and also have the doors unlock when the key is removed which is nice. So sorry for the long read but I hope this gives people another idea then trying to wire in diodes or some other things to work.
