He's at his mom house and won't be back down here till Friday evening. He took a pic around the battery. Can you see what you're talking about? If not I'll be able to look it over the weekend good. And yea it's a factory v8 truck I ran the vin.

This is the GBCM - Generator Battery Control Module. It's partialy responsible for the charge system. It does not appear to be properly attached. Looks like it was wrapped with electrical tape to hold it and that has come apart.

Let me see what I can dig up for you.

Ok, Did a little digging and took some pictures for you.

The large ground cable attaches to the engine block just behind the power steering pump down near the oil pan.
The smaller ground cable goes to the frame mount just underneath the core support. They should both pass through the GBCM ring. It is zip tied like that from the factory.
The fact that the one in the picture you posted appears to be flopping around makes we wonder if that's causing some of the electrical issues.

Below that is a picture of the rear ground attachments from the engine harness to the block. The ground strap from the fire wall goes to the rear of the driver side rear of the block along with the ground from the engine harness. So in summary, 2 grounds on the driver side and 1 on the passenger side rear of the block.
