Default 04 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP

Has anybody looked at one of these or have one. I'll probably be getting one within the next 3 months if i like it. I found one in hope, arkansas that i like, it has the competition group pkg, with grille inserts , leather, dual tips and its black. I was wondering if anyone on here had any experience with one. thanks in advance.

Have you looked into the 04 Maxima or Altima with the VQ 3.5 engine?

Tiburon is right. I drove the Altima before we bought my wife her Grand Prix. That thing is pretty quick. Handles and rides good. The interior left something to be desired. It may be worth a look.

Those cars have a tendancy to tear up the 4T65E transmissions. I am a tech for a Pontaic/GMC dealer. Between that trans and the 4l60E I keep busy all day.

Make SURE you get the gmpp warranty if you get the 4.6 GXP Bonneville. These are very sharp and have a pretty nice exhaust note for a front driver. The Northstar engine has a reputation for pulling the threads out of the head bolt holes and lower crankcase oil leaks, but the new ones are seeming to be getting better. With GMPP, everything is fixed by the dealer, no dinking around.

The new GTP is pretty impressive. I was shopping one, but couldn't get my wife to buy in. Fully loaded EVERYTHING!!!!! But we found an 02 Altima which was more her style. Another fully loaded EVERYTHING!!!! with the 3.5. That thing moves! Plus, it has a ton of room for the kids. MUCH more than the GTP. I would have still made the GTP my first choice, but I absolutly don't regret getting the Altima. BTW, it ony had 8k on it when we got it in March this year.
