Question 03 Silverado Guage Cluster Problem

Truck only has 32K miles on it and out of nowhere the volt gauge is wrapping all the way to down into the water temp gauge sweeping area??? Ive done some searching and found nothing.... Any Ideas? This is a factory un-touched gauge cluster.

There was a GM factory warranty issued on faulty gauge clusters a number of months back. I have a 2003 Tahoe and was included. The cutoff is 70k miles, so you are good. Just call up your stealership and tell them you got a letter about the recall (and lost the letter, haha) and want the guages replaced. Hope this helps, and let us know what you find out.

It was the stepper motors.....I had noticed that the speedo was kind of "sticky" also...looked like a damn wrist watch... Took it to the local dealer, and they confirmed on a Tech 2 with a gauge sweep. Put it on order, 2 days later it came in, 30 mins from the time I drove it in, I was driving away. Didn't cost me a dime... The needles are brighter on this set than my other set, makes them stand out a little more..

Thanks guys....I appreciate the help.

Good deal! My Tahoe is actually in the shop right now for the same thing. My speedo was doing the ticking thing and the tach stuck a few times at 3000.
