Terrible idea, just get them turned off in the tune.

 

I used them for about 4 years before I got a tune. All you need are 2 spark plug non fouler fittings, one on top of the other. One end goes into the exhaust, the other end gets the o2 sensor. It's no problem to use them if you dont have money or time to do a tune. You can do it in about 15 minutes for about $5.
