I take it your longer ones cured the tapping noise????

ThunderZ28 11-26-2006 07:42 PM

so far so good.
the only thing I hear now is the ticking coming from the headers, and the sewing machine under the hood.

How many miles on them...

and why are you taking them out? Im thinkin of the tr or comp 224/224 112. These rods will work right?
Thanks,
Derek

I was having issues with the tapping(not ticking) with my 224...
but it seams my 224 is an older version than what everyone else is getting..

mine is a 224/224 .561/.561 112

everybody else I have seen has a
224/224 .581/.581 112

dont know if eveyone else is having this problem but I went to a 7.450 rod, and so far it is doing much better...
only ticking I get is when it starts to run low on oil...
I burn a quart every once and a while
