Baer Alumasport 14" big brakes F/R

I'm selling my big brake kit. It started life as the Baer Alumasport 14" kit that I bought new in 2007 for $1850.

Recently the original baer rotors and pads wore out so I replaced them. The rotors are SSBC slotted that are about 6 months/5k highway miles old and are still perfect, I bought them at a cost of about $450. The pads are GM Ceramic c5 corvette pads also 6 months/5k highway miles old and still perfect, I bought them at a cost of about $160. I went with ceramic because they do not dust or squeal as much as standard pads, which is a plus for chrome wheels.

To my knowledge this is a bolt on for any 99-06 GM full size truck or suv with front and rear discs. I have used them on an 02 Yukon Denali. You are responsible for doing your own research regarding fitment.

Included are the calipers, abutment brackets, pads, and rotors. All of these parts are in perfect working condition. The red powdercoat on the calipers is peeling away on the back area due to brake fluid and road dirt, but the outside area facing the wheels looks fine. I only removed them because I needed to go back to stock wheels temporarily, and they would not fit with these big brakes installed. This is a fairly easy install, and could be done by a competent installer in about 2-3 hours.

I'd suggest you buy a new set of stainless steel brake hoses to use during the install as well; summit sells them for about $120.

Selling for $1000 firm, plus actual shipping. This stuff is HEAVY so expect shipping to be around $60-100 depending on your proximity to east Tn. To get a shipping quote, go to ups.com and click "calculate time and cost" under shipping. Origin 37814, will prepay and drop off at UPS terminal. One package containing the rotors will weigh 105lb and be 15x15x15. The other package containing the calipers etc. will weigh 65lb and be approx 12x12x15. Be sure to enter appropriate insurance amounts for each package.

Yes, I know that you can probably get a new baer 14" kit for about $1400 these days...BUT that kit will include the inferior brake pads and cross drilled baer rotors that cracked and failed on me in 3 years' time.

I've looked back through my original documentation from baer, and there's actually no part number that I can see. It just says "alumasport front/rear, gm c/k10 pickup/suv 1999+".

baer's site no longer shows anything from that "generation" of brake products...it seems they've changed their entire product lineup at this point and removed every mention of the old product lines.

My truck has the 2 piston rear brakes with the 28mm thick rotor...as opposed to some of the base pickups that had the single piston rear caliper with the 18mm thick rotor. If yours has the bigger rear setup then it should interchange based on what I've read. I'm not sure if the "smaller" pickup rear brake setup uses the same bracket mounting holes or not. If it does then it would all be a moot point anyway.
