x pipe placement
i have a 2006 chevy reg cab with long tube headers and it dumps off right before the axle im putting in a magnaflow x pipe but i know know if i should put it closer to the headers or closer to the mufflers...any suggestions?

Mine is under the passenger seat, with a rcsb that's about the only place it can go.
|
Yea I know I just didn't know if I should put it as close as possible to the engine or closer to the mufflers. Where is it most effective
|
As close to the headers as possible.

Thanks! Do you think it will tone down the sound a bit I have Lt headers no cats true dual back to some magnaflow mufflers and it's super loud...eventually getting some cats to help but do you think the x will make a difference

High flow cats will help also longer tail pipes will help to
|
Mine was super loud and annoying, the x cut the sound about 80%
|
Good deal thanks again for all the help...glad I joined this forum!

If you extend the pipes up and over the rear axle it will help considerably with "in cab" noise especially at cruising speeds. You can still turn it down after the rear axle so you cant see it if thats the look you want.
