x pipe behind mufflers??

i have no mufflers and gutted cats. once i get Longtube headers, iam getting my xpipe welded up. anyways, if i get 2 summit racing bullet mufflers(basically glasspacks) and put them were my cats are now, and then mount the x pipe behind them and then dumped, will the x pipe still serve its purpose effectively. is this a good idea, or am i just better of leaving my gutted cats in place, and just getting the xpipe welded up. thanks guys.

I don't see why it wouldn't work, you are still equalizing pressure.

I don't remember which, but either the Cobra R of the Mustang FR500 used a x-pipe after the mufflers and it performed well.

Best performance your gonna get is cross them before anything while exhaust gases are still really hot. If you cross them at the end after the mufflers the exhaust gases are to cool and doesnt serve as much of a purpose.
