Has anyone run a LS6 windage tray on a truck?Does it fit or do you need to modify the oil pickup?I figure if you using higher revs the windage tray might be worth some free horsepower. What's your thought on the subject?

The windage trays for each platform are differenent due to different pan configuration for trucks, f-body and Y-body. I did quite a bit of research into this when doing the GenIII motor swap in the 66' chevelle. Each pick-up and windage tray is unique but not beyond modification to make work. I do have a machine shop at my disposal so welding, heliarch, machining and fabrication are resources I had at my disposal, may not be the as easy with out these.

what kind of mods to the tray are you talking about if one wanted to run a truck pan/tube with an f-body motor?

I don't believe you have to do anything more that just use the Trucks windage tray and pickup tube on the LS1 to make it work.
I guess I'll be finding out this summer when I do mine.
