I Live about 60 miles north of OKC..could you tell me more about your setup? cause im tryin to do the same as you and maybe you could give me some ideas...

and sloweverado i like your ideas also, but on the pistons and rods i thought about gettin diamond pistons and some eagle h-beam connecting rods? i just need something strong to hold some big N20..would those work? and if i get a crankshaft what brand should i get? thanks!

crower rods are pretty good from what i hear.

as far as the eagle h beams i've never heard much about them but i know the crowers are good. the diamond pistons are good also but Ross is the brand of the pistons i bought for my 370 and they are very nice, look awesome, very light and all that. Wiseco pistons would be sweet too...

thanks man...if u dont mind me asking where did u get your ross pistons and how much did they cost?
and thanks GMC SKI for your suggestions...i need to ask another question though...im debating on whether or not to get a forged crankshaft? how much power would i be giving up by having a 372CI motor versus a 408ci? and if i left the stock crank in would it still be safe to spray some big nos to it? like say a 150 shot??thanks!

Re: wHERE SHOULD I START? (6.0 MOTOR)

you Can Save yourself a few dollars by using the stock Crank shaft
I'm reusing mine just had it polished
Apparently the stock crank can take some abuse
Between having a 372ci and 408 wouldn't be a huge difference you could Spray both pretty big
they can both make equal power on the Gas
N/A the 408 will definatly be more torque oriented for sure
all Depends on what cam you go with
Is this thing going to be a street truck ?how often are you going to be Driving it ?
See the 372 will be a little better on fuel have a little less power N/A but you can Spray to make up the power differnces
