Where is OIL PRESSURE SENDER located?
#1
I can't locate the Oil Sender. I think it might be behind the starter motor, but I'm not sure because the factory Helm manual doesn't even mention the oil sender. The Haynes manual has a WORTHLESS photo that shows the passenger side bank, oil dip stick and a handheld oil presurre gauge that the photo implies is connected to the oil sending unit which can't be seen in the photo. I want to install a mechanical oil pressure gauge to monitor the pressure on startup as I have just installed a new cam, ported oil pump and Rollmaster Double Row Chain. It would be nice to see the oil pressure on a mechanical gauge when I first start the motor after changing these items.

Slowverado broke his and has a picture of where it is -- at the top back of the block behind the intake.

is your factory oil pressure gauge not working? i know that auto meter gauges give a more "accurate" reading but the stocker can't be that far off to where you wouldn't have a good general idea of what's going on.
