Default What's wrong with my truck??

I just got this truck running last Monday. The mods are in my sig. Today was the first time that it sat in rush hour traffic. After a little while the truck began surging. About every 30-40 seconds the idle will drop way down then go back to normal. When I slowly accelerate it feels like it is surging. I'm thinking fuel/air mix or something???

Did you have it tuned? What is your idle at?
Do you have any tuning software so you can try a few things out?
Sounds like a low idle deal to, if i lower my trucks idle just say 50rpm it will surge if i let it idle in D without touching the gas.

yea, it's got a dyno tune. The guy that did it is really good too. I don't have any tuning software. I was having some trouble with it idling on startup so i turned up the set screw and now it is fine just surges a little. It idles around 750 or so. The idle doesnt change much from drive to neutral.

Id get back with the tuner. Sounds like he didn't adjust any of the idle settings for the cam. Either that or you have a vacuum leak.

Well since you mentioned sitting in traffic. My guess would be tune and idle airflow being off at the higher ECT's.

Edit: Don't know if this applies to the 2001 models.
