What mods to do with ls6 cam?

I know I will have to change out the springs. My current mods are FIPK, Hypertech, 180 stat and I plan on doin AS&M Headers as soon as thunder gets some in.

BTW How many ponies is this cam worth to me?

CONVERTER!!!!!! At least a 3,000 stall for that cam. I have installed three of those cams and love them. You will not be happy unless you get a converter and raise the shift points to 6,100.
My buddy gained 36rwhp without tuning. It was a stock 5.3 through a paper filter and no muffler.
P.S. CONVERTER, CONVERTER, CONVERTER, CONVERTER!!!!!!!!!

I want to do a tc but the only one I would spend the money one is the tci and I have heard that it is kinda slopy in a truck.

Save up your money to get the Yank. The difference in performance is worth the difference in money.

Go with the TCI, you wont be disapointed. And the $300 you save can go to other mods.

Is the cam going to be to much for the stock tc? If so I may have to do away with the idea because I don't want to dump any more money in the truck.

No its not a necessity. You will loose some bottom end, and gain top end. The stall will just help with the weak bottom, and make driving more fun.

At last, I finally find somebody to give me a little confidence in my purchase of the tci 3000. I've been scared to death to get this thing in my truck, due to most of the negative feedback on the stall. Thanks Eater. Now, if I can just get this stock tranny out and get a built one in there, I'll really have peace of mind.
