Angry what the hell is my problem?

i think i have a retarded truck. i'm runnin a best time of 16.4 flat.... WITH MY CURRENT MODS!!! wtf gives? people are runnin way faster than me STOCK! i know that the heavy wheels and altitude dont really help... but will it make this big of a difference? my next mods will be a TC and long tube headers, hoping to get those times down more... plus i'll be running in indiana next in april or may. so no more altitude!... well until i get back to Tucson...

i'll be putting my truck in storage while i'm over visiting Osama and whuppin his *** first hand on his own soil.

not to be a dick but can you actually drive????? your wheels are way to heavy and large
too much rolling resistance. you need less rolling resistance. without seeing you in action i cant really
diganos your problems.

My guess would be the wheels, and possibly the altitude... like you thought.

How high up are you exactly? I had my truck up around 2500' a few weeks ago, and I was pretty surprised at how much more of a dog it was.

What were your R/T's at the track? Pretty good?

My truck feels pretty darn peppy with those same wheels and larger tires.

tucson is about 3000-3500 feet up... i couldnt tell a difference once i switched wheels...

and i hope i can drive... i try not to floor it off the line as to keep the TM down... its getting kinda frustrating...

though i must say... i am faster than all the other GM trucks around here that run at the track... they are all in the high 16's low 17's... so maybe the altitude really does blow...

16.40 at 3500 feet is a 15.70 at sea level.

Your intake and exhaust probably take 3/10's off, and your wheels add back 1-2/10's.

if these trucks are running that slow.. then it has to be the air and the alt.
as far as 15.7 he still should be alot faster

well, i'll see how fast the truck is after i get back from afghanistan... i'll have it lowered 4/6, 3200 TC, ASM long tube headers, ASP pulleys and a tuned PCM... plus i'll be able to do a run in indianapolis... which will be alot better i hope

i'll just need my parents to take it to the shops for me to get it done while i'm gone...
