Default What headers are you running

long tube, Shorties, Hedman , hooker, pacesetter, gibson. what ya got? I'm in the market. I got a 99 chevy with the 5.3.

you definetely want long-tubes if you are looking for performance out of them.

many run pacesetters(mild steel) for their value. if you have emmissions you might could get away with them if you run the dynatech supermaxx headers/catted y-pipe(stainless). there is also stainless works (stainless).

those are the most popular ones with pacesetters/ off-road y-pipe being the most popular, the dynatechs and then stainless works ( i only know of a few runnin these)

their are a few other options if you go with a mid-length header design. doug thorley is one example

I run pacesetters and am very happy with them, i had them on my camaro too and loved them.

i run the dynatech supermaxx lt's with catted y-pipe, love the sound. If i live anywhere besides CA and didn't have to be somewhat legal i would have gone with pacessters with off-road catless y-pipe, much less expensive that the dynatechs

who has the best deals on the pacesetter LTs i was allready looking on summit they were about 450. and did you use stock cats. if not how much for aftermarket cats

i got my pacesetters from Jet Hot coated for 450. they haven't gave me any problems so far. as for cats, i have 8 inch magnaflow high flow spun metallic cats. this setup with my corsa sport is loud as all hell.

i ran pacesetters on my last truck, the new one has jba shorty's, fixin to switch to MAC midlengths

I am running dynatechs. If I would have known about the Stainless Works at the time, I may have went with them.
