I agree, but who woul want to go down in power? It's got to at least run the same times as I do now.
. Just do it and get better than the damn 13 I get now. Not to mention bein able to tow same weight but soooo much easier.

That's just a 9.5 14 bolt. I can get a straight bolt in from a new model caddy. I was concidering using the 10.5 or 11.5 and goin 8 lug all the way around. 97 dodge 2500 gasser front unit bearing bolt right up to stock 6 lug spindles for the fronts.
I was going to use the stock turbo for the little guy and just add on a big one to that. Quick spool and big power.

It's actually not so much the Trans as it is the a/c compressor and the intercoooler/radiator.
It can be done with out a body lift but it's not ideal. But the cool part is you don't need a full body lift. 2" on the front support none on the back bumper and then stagger the lift back. This way it just gives the leveled look most people want. For the front there is no need to relocate the bumper. Just use the hd bumper pad and grill. That will make up for the front gap. It's not quite as hard as it sounds. It's not simplistic by any means but not extremely hard to do. Cost is my biggest factor.

Now getting a 9.25 front dif in there would be a big challenge. I would love to be able to figure that out. I'm going to look into it but it doesn't look promising.
Then there is the issue of no torque thrust 8 lug rims on the market. If you Know of any please let me know.

i actualy looked into the cummins with an allison. but the dmax seems to have a mileage advantage over the 6.7 cummins. plus the dmax is all plug and play as far as wireing goes compared to the cummins.
