What 4.3's swap

Well I have a 2001 s10 4.3/4l60e extended cab zq8... My question is what newer year 4.3's will swap into the truck with no problem? I missed out on a good deal on a 12k mile 2009 4.3 because I couldnt find out any info... Thanks

your probably going to want to try asking a wrecking yard or an S-10 forum.

I am not sure what changes between engine codes. I don't see why the basic long block wouldn't swap over from a newer year but I don't know what changes were made.

This is about all I could find...
