As far as the rods go, I'm torn between the stock rods w/ARP bolts or some cheaper H-beams. I may be pushing the stockers to hard, as I'd like to get some longevity out of the engine.

Pistons? No clue yet, suggestions.

If you've got the coin, I would cough it up on the rods, 1 less thing to worry about... I have bent both LQ4 & LQ9 rods during some nitrous experimentation.. Parish on the other hand was able to run them at some pretty high HP.. Turbos are a little more forgiving then Nitrous though.. As will be the Radix..

As far as pistons go I really like the Mahle ones I have now.. I ran Diamonds prior and they are also nice.. Here is a few pics of a Mahle I am running..

Flipper; that's a nice looking blower piston. Mahle always impresses me with their products. How does it's weight compare to the stock unit?

Richard :)

I honestly don't, but I'm sure I could find out for you;)

if i thought i had any clue how to install heads/cam myself, i'd buy the same setup right now so we could see who makes more power, radix or whipple. i have bad luck with mechanics. always end up getting ripped off.

lol, I don't blame you in the least. Thats why I, at all costs, try to do everything myself.

Are there any board members close by that could help out?

I'll try to hold the pricing until mid summer (end of July) and then re evaluate at that time.

Richard :)

I should be able to afford them for sure by then. Hmmm. Decisions decisions. I just cant seem to make up my mind what I want to do 6L heads and cam with nitrous or 5.3 with a blower :bang:

Well I just got off the phone with richard and it looks like I will be joining the club with a set of stage 2 heads. :) :drive:  Now to just pick a cam. 228 with a 112lsa sound good for my truck with a 3000 stall and being able to shift out at 6500?
