Default Ways to drop coolant temps??

Just wondering what all can be done to help drop coolant temps.I'm running a 160 t-stat right now and just recently flushed the coolant system and added redline water wetter.

Run a 50/50 mix antifreeze/water then add water wetter.I run that with dual electric fans and my truck stays cool in bumper to bumper traffic

The fan in the truck is set to hold the temps at about 190*. This is why you can't get temps any lower. The thermostat on the fans only go to about 180*'s. If I am running down the road I can get them to about 170 or so.

I'm telling ya the 34" core radiator, 160° thermo, and Flex-a-lite 282's make a killer combo.

On the highway my temps are 167° as reported by EFILive. The fans don't even come on. In traffic with some of the hot/humid weather we've had the last couple days this combo keeps temps in check even with the A/C cranking. I want to get some REALLY hot 100+° mid summer days to check this setup out, I'm not anticipating any problems though.

If you still have the stock clutch fan you're not going to get temps down much even with the 160° thermo because the clutch is heat activated like Flyer said. It won't try to cool things down UNTIL the temps are high enough and then it doesn't do all that great a job at slower speeds relative to the electrics.
