Lifter can take up the slack yes. But not in a good way. To get the valvetrain geometry back to near stock. A longer rod is ideal.

Lobe actually gets smaller with a cam like that... If it got much bigger it wouldnt go in the engine.

So basically all of my lifters are taking up the slack except one which is giving me **** fits? Once i get my email back from Ed Curtis, ill go from there. I was really hoping that it wasnt a lifter but im not holding my breath about that one. So do you think that there would be a power increase due to getting the more lift out of the cam than i am right now?

are do all cams have a smaller base circle? i was in contact with john at FMS when going through the process so i hope if i needed to longer rods he'd have told me but now i dont know! anyone know about the F5 cam and if it has a smaller base?

Best way to find out is to give John a call and ask him about it. I should have measured it with some calipers beforehand and now im paying for it!

Will you at least tell me the lift so I know if 7.4s are gonna be long enough for me or if I need to go with a longer push rod
