Ok, a stock LQ9 was rated for 345 HP, SAE Net at the flywheel. How is the dyno rating taken? Rear Wheel HP or the same?

Ok, so then what would be the RWHP of a stock LQ9, 290 to 300? What kind of horsepower did each mod contribute, if any?

I raced with a guy last year whose only mods are longtube headers and a local tune and he made 320 RWHP with his 5.3 PPV Tahoe. My 5.3 only has a BB tune and makes 300 RWHP. These are both Gen IV motors.

Next time out I'll run a new baseline since I've replaced my Y-pipe and cats. Then will make some runs comparing the stock paper air filter to a K&N. I might buy an Airaid Jr and try it out on another visit to the track. This mod also allows a baseline to be run the same night unlike mods such as a torque converter or camshaft. Of course I'll also have to decide whether or not to continue with 2WD launches or launch in 4WD from now on too. Whichever course is taken, it should be stuck with.

So which cam do actually have??? you said stage 1, but listed stage 2 specs???

If you still have the 3200 stall, why not swap it out.

Tick Performance "SNS" torqueMAX Stage 1 Camshaft for LS1 & LS6 Engines
223/227 | .610"/.590" | LSA111+2

Tick Performance "SNS" torqueMAX Stage 2 Camshaft for LS1 & LS6 Engines
Standard Lobes: 227/235 | .618"/.605" | LSA110+3

Stage II is what i have. Its for the ls1 not the bigger ls2 version is what i should have said. I think i should try going back to me 3200 stall and 3" single exhaust to try to gain back some lower end power. The more i drive it the more she feels stronger up stairs. With the combination of going with a bigger cam, lower stall, bigger exhaust then adding the 6 gear planetary which raises the 1st gear ratio . I really hurt the lower end torque.

Any updates on this? Curious to see how it does with 1 3/4 and single 3" exhaust. My 06 single cab with 5.3/60e has 1 7/8 long tubes and dual 3" all Speed Engineering. Runs decent

I wouldn’t run single 3”. I used the have that on my heads/cam 6.0 and it would blow apart at one of the band clamps. Just stick with your dual exhaust. The problem is your converter/cam combo.

The real dyno backed that up. I made more torque than horse power on the dyno.
if your torque > hp, that just means your top end air or fuel ain't keeping up with the low/mid and falls off a lot.
