turbocharger

hey guys i just installed a turbocharger on my 4.8 silverado now when i turn it on the truck looses power bogs down and stalls? do you think its too many cfms? it about 230 cfms, also its electric and goes into the intake please help thank you. hopefully i can adjust something to compensate?

Ok as far as I know those electric turbos or supercharges don't really work.
They simply just can't supply enough volume of air. If they did, car manufactors would use them instead of "real" ones. I think at most it could give a couple hp at say 1500rpm but as your engine revs the blower just can't supply enough airflow and then becomes a restriction.
And if you did get one big enough it would drain your electical system that the hp increase it might would give is used up by turning the alternator.

haha no actually i know a guy in town who has done this and hes having theres problems, i did not know enought about this to give a true answer so I told him that I would find out, but thanks anyway for the negative comments there well appreciated.
