Transgo install

How hard is it to install the HD2 kit?

Blue5.3 07-15-2005 12:36 PM

The HD2 kit includes internal parts. I have the HD2 also..so I have the same ? as white1

jerome 07-15-2005 12:40 PM

you have to remove tranny if i remember correctly.

Blue5.3 07-15-2005 12:42 PM

Yep that's what I was told. That's the easy part.

CAMMIN03' 07-15-2005 12:51 PM

I had that kit installed and they did not have to remove the tranny... I think the only thing that requires you remove the transmission is the highrev spring kit..

Its probably worth the 150-200 bucks to have a professional do it..

I have a very reputable transmission shop do I mine for 200...

That included corvette servos, overdrive servos... and other misc. parts..

They did not have to remove the tranny for my install. I payed someone $150 to install my Transgo and Corvette Servo.

CAMMIN03' 07-16-2005 01:32 AM

Thast about the same exact deal I had.....

2000_Silverado_SS 07-16-2005 08:05 AM

I paid $1300 for my install. I will soon see if it was worth it as soon as I fix my broken rocker arm.

ramjet502 07-16-2005 06:57 PM

$1300.00 for a shift kit install  somebody ripped you off bad man :barf: The trans shop I use charges 75.00 and for any work that requires the trans to be removed (convertor or rebuild) its 150.00

jerome 07-16-2005 07:03 PM

i got quoted 400 for install w/o remove tranny...800 if remove tranny...not including price of kit
