What is cracking in your t-case? I recently saw that I was leaking trans fluid from between the t-case and trans. What kind of symptoms were you having before they would give out?

I don't know of anyone here who has really had any issues with the transfer case. Several of us are giving them hell too. I had to replace my motor / encoder, but thats my fault as I dropped it. What are your symptoms?

Silent1 - the transfer case is mated to the transmission through a transmission adapter. One side of the adapter is a pressure sealed fitting, the other has a gasket and teflon sealant. What side of the adapter seems to be leaking?

Big Tex, I was leaking trans fluid on the trans side not the tail shaft side. Wierd thing though, is that it hasn't leaked in a while and the fluid level is ok.

The first thing i would notice is a leak. What i have been braking is the pice that goes between the t-case and the tranny that is also where the mount bolts also go. the t-case leaks right on the bottem i can see the crack. the first one i never saw the crack the dealership replaced it. the last time i broke the adapter it broke right in half while i was on the highway..

HMMM...I'm only speculating here, but could it be the transmission and/or x-case mounts? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
Maybe it jiggled loose and the shaking is breaking the case?
