Default torque management on 5spd

I just read a post where tm can be removed from a 5spd???? Whats this all about. Said that had retard when they punched it from a stop? Someone explain this to me. I have a nelson tune and didnt mention any tm.

it's two seperate things he is talking about most likely..... there is two types of TM, engine and transmission. 5 Speeds only have engine. as for knock retard, there is tip-in retard, which is most likely what he is seeing

I shouldve mentioned to nelson? Will i gain anything or is it more of a safety feature to reduce pinging.
