Like most of us, mine no longer has one. We don't want no stinkin' limits.

Most I have heard of and have had is around 97 or 98. I have a friend that says his Z71 cuts off at 106 and I have heard the SS is around the same maybe 109. It all depends on what speed rating of the tire the vechicle came with.

My parents have a 99 Suburban. Not really sure how this happened... but I remeber when we first bought it and we went on a trip To florida... my dad decided to see if it had ***** (being a 5.7 TPI.. and a Suburban weighing what like 8,000lbs? jk), it got up there for a big truck.. and cut off at 98mph... My boyfriend and I use it for part runs now... we wanted to see how fast it would go and either the speedometer is off or something happened.. but it was laying on 100 and kept going and than the "Service Engine Soon" light appeared and we decided to take it easy before something happened, lol and than it went away... Ive heard of daily drivers slowing down over time (being stock) but not speeding up, lol?

What caused that?

Yeah, maybe the tires now are smaller now from the stock ones.
