Well guys this small tick I can't stand from what I've read a lot of people say it's common with the prc1518 springs then some say it's because I need longer push rods idk what my next move Is going to be but I'm going to figure it out what do you guys think about maybe a slightly longer push rod?

A 7.425 may help... but I can't be sure. It's almost impossible to know if something is wrong when you say its a tick. for all we know it could be the normal tick that you can't stand... everyone is different. We really need a video or sound clip to be able to tell.

Does it sound consistent, does it seem that one is louder than the rest? Are you sure all your rockers are torqued down correct?

The 1518's on a relative basis don't tick all that much. They are not that aggressive of a spring being a single.

Yeah it's consistent but it's not really at idle it's mainly noticeable when I give it some gas when pulling the throttle body open by hand. I'll try to take a video and post it this afternoon

OK this sounds like a different problem. The valve tick will get drowned out by other noises at higher rpm's.

You may have a couple stuck lifters, or if its really not that bad then its possible pushrods will solve the issue, but there are a lot of guys who run that cam with the 7.4" pushrods.

Well guys I think I found the noise you can hear it in the vid if you listen closely when I walk up next to the front driver side I took it for a drive today and no lifter noise but its a leaking exhaust flange fixed it in about 10 minutesCammed Silverado - YouTube

Sounds pretty close to the way mine dose, I have 3,000 miles on this motor and some give it hell and try to brake it to see whats ticking trips. nothing so far. I think some are just loud and annoying with ticking.

Did you ever figure the ticking out? Mine doesn't do it cold or warm but when I ran it for a few miles it will start I hold 30psi oil pressure. Sounds just like your video clip.
