Default Thoughts on comps 220/224-.530/.534 in stock lm7?

So, I got a deal on this cam for my 5.3 swap. Now I'm second guessing it. what are you guys thoughts? Swap is a 82 c-10 with long tubes and I was planning a stall for the built 700r4 vbut now I'm thinking I may have too much cam after comparing it to the BTR truck cams. ?.??

It'll work fine. Especially if you run a 2800 stall or so.

Are there better cams? Probably. If you got this one on a deal I'd say run it.

That’s more duration than I would have spec’d, but the lift is pretty low. I agree with madmann’s stall recommendation to make it work.

Cool, thanks. As to better cams.....what would you suggest? I may put it up for sale and go shopping.

I’m a big fan of the cam motion truck cams. I don’t know how much power your trying to make and what you want out of the build.
I like streetable cams with a ton of real world rpm power...but I’m getting old.

Is is this a DD project? Street driver? Street/Strip?

I ran a yank ss3600 behind a stock ls6 in my sons Camaro and loved it, so I was thinking of goin with something similar in this truck. Probably a little less stall for the truck though.

It's a 112LSA and the truck is just a toy. Probably just gonna drive whenever I get the urge. Not going to be something that I rely on for every day use. I have other vehicles for DD.

Hell, if that's all it is, run a TBSS stall. They're cheap.
