Swapping L76 into 2000 GMC

while searching for a new motor for my truck I came across what appears to be an excellent deal on a complete pull out L76/vortec max motor with about 110k miles on the clock. I had planned on a more simple swap, but this seems tough to pass on. About $1500 complete. I figure I will want to do DoD/VVT deletes. Add a decent cam and swap throttle body to dbc. Any drawbacks as to why I should avoid this route?

You'll also need a converter box or swap the reluctor wheel on the crank to make it work.

Right so am I missing anything? I feel like this should make massively more power vs my old tired 4.8

In addition to the converter box you’ll have to swap in Gen 3 knock sensors and extend the harness as they are located on the side of the block instead of the valley cover, also will need to extend the harness for the cam position sensor...honestly if it was me to avoid headaches I’d sell it and at that price you are getting it for you could make a nice profit and then look for a gen III 6.0 (LQ4/LQ9) so it’s a direct swap...

I have been leaning towards a budget 5.3 build, but this deal has me dreaming about big boy power. I have always wanted to be able to have my truck fast enough to scare/surprise people. A heads and cam 5.3 won’t get me there, but this might get me close.
