swapping front o2's with the rears?
so my front passenger side o2 sensor is going out and i need to replace it. When looking at o2 sensors to buy i am seeing a lot of them say front or rear o2 replacement. Is this correc/t becuase i thought the fronts had to stay in the front and the rears in the rear. Any help with this will be appreciated!!! thanks!!!!

I tried the swap as well...it ran worse. When looking online, if they say front and rear...I think those might be the universal type. IMO buy the factory replacement that is designed for the location specified. AC Delco/Delphi seem to be the favorites.

Don't they have different connectors anyway?

mine swap no problem '05 GMC. ;)

:stupid: Same here too. Except I'm in a '04 Chevy. :poke:
Most seem to run either OE or Denso. I probably should replace mine after 82k. Cause w/. that many miles, I'm not helpin my MPG any. Plus, I was told the other day, I'm long overdue, that your supposed to replace em every 30k. Anyone else heard of that? Here I thought 50k or 100k. Oops. |
Hmmm I have never heard of changing them every 30k that seems like a lot. But maybe I will try changeing my rears in the front they only have like 50k on them so that can get me by till I get a new one thanks guys!
|
Ya, I thought every 30k was a bit extreme too. Just what I heard, don't know their source.

I swapped my rears into the front once when i had a code for a faulty 02 sensor. it went away and never came back ftw. now there are no rear 02s but maybe ill swap my front ones soon after reading this. i got 80k on the stock ones. u guys reccomend swapping them sooner huh?
