Default Super charger sound

I dropped my 6L and cam in the truck with some FMS 7.4 push rods. I have a wining sound like a supercharger. Is this the new valvetrain breaking in, or what? I had the singer sound on my 5.3 till I put milled heads on it and it went away.

Just looking for ideas. If I have the sound, I want the performance, but I dont have that.

I know what causes the sewing machine sound, but this is different. I dont know if the pushrods may be a little too long or what.

Sure the timing chain assembly is on right I know it sounds stupid but its jsut a guess. Also it oculd be a little bit of the belt coming apart flying through the air making that noise my grandmas car did that until I noticed a few fibers hanging off of it changed it out and the sound was gone.

Hmmmm I thought it may be the belt too, the crank pully has a little rust on it, nothing major. Maybe thats it. It seemes to be getting better.

The frayed pieces of the belt could be falling off if its getting better inspect the belt would be the first thing I would check.

I checked the belt, and it looks good, maybe its just the belt on the rusty pulley making the sound. I need to clean it off

Try some belt dressing on the belt, I have heard them make some real strange noises.

Yep, another one bites the dust. This is getting expensive. If the one getting built goes, I'm putting in a 80
