Default Suburban Manual Trans Swap

Gentlemen

First time posting here, looks like a well informed site hope this is in the correct forum or at least correct site. If not I would appreciate a link to the proper forum, if one is known.

Thanks

Anyway I have a 95 Suburban LT 1500 4x4/350/4L60-E/115kmi. The truck is fairly well maintained but the problem is that the tranny is starting to go. Now I was looking at having the tranny rebuilt but then had the idea to swap in a T56. Ive never liked automatics so now is my chance to get rid of the auto in favor of a manual. Im pretty sure the tranny will fit but Im not 100% sure, so was wondering if anyone here has heard of something like this even if the swap was to a regular truck manual trans. I think it would be fairly easy seeing as the Suburban is pretty much just like a pickup and since they were built with manual transmissions there are plenty of parts available to make this happen.

Thanks

Nick

Someone on this site has swapped a T-56 into a OBS suburban, and he said he loved it. All you need to do I believe is get a t-56 out of a LT1 f-body and it directly bolts up.
