Some parts of my truck are metric and others are SAE. Really weird how that is.

Hey...weird question. What wrench sizes are the same when converting? I noticed there are a few of them that are the same size when using metric or SAE...any ideas?

Some that come to mind are 14mm and 9/16, 11mm and 7/16, 8mm and 5/16...(hmmm, just realized that the SAE's that convert to metric are in increments of 16's..) Maybe 22mm and 13/16? Can't remember and I don't have my wrenches in front of me lol

Good memory Billy!!
I have a set of ratcheting wrenches in SAE size only at the moment but sometimes I can get away with using them on certain metric bolts, I should start paying better attention to which ones they are.

1inch = 25.4mm

1/4 = 6.35mm
5/16 =7.94mm
3/8 = 9.53mm
7/16 = 11.11mm
1/2 = 12.7mm
9/16 = 14.23mm
5/8 = 15.88mm
11/16 = 17.46mm
3/4 = 19.05mm

get the idea?
