Come to think of it i had to work on an 04 or 05 express van that was cable driven... Took me a minute to process... Then i realized the express vans were behind from the get go...

Yes, all the Express vans were cable driven. Most likely for reliability.

No room for the electric pedal or the Tac module in the cramped engine compartment, Not to mention the heat that the TB would be exposed too!

Good to know, I haven't seen one past 06 yet myself and that was DBC.

Ok since this is a 6l80 swap thread..... If lets say someone had an 08 yukon with a 4l60, got ahold of a 6l80 and harness what would need to be done programming wise to get it to function properly.... Looking at diagrams, there are two wires for the tu/td that need to be connected to the bcm, assuming the signal is on the data bus to tcm at that point....would the vin need to be changed in the pcm bcm ipc etc etc etc to make this work without a bunch of hassles and issues??? Not even overly concerned with tu/td so long as the cruise and tow/haul work...

just got a 6.2 with the 6l80 and i need help with the hardness.. its also going to go in a 2003 gmc sierra.. trying to figure it

Since this hasnt been mentioned GM 6L45E 6L50E 6L80E 6L90E TCM2650 transmission controller harness

for those that that just want trans I cant personally vouch for it but if you have bought it very curious how it works. You still dont have tap up and down but me personally who cares.

Any more updates on 99-06 guys converting to the 6L80/90? Currently have a 6.2 getting ready to drop in truck, just looking at my options since the truck has a 60e in it. I can baby the truck until it's "broke in". Any body else have threads on swap?
