Default Size Of Muffler

To replace the factory i think i am going with borla xs muffler what size inlet and out let do i need thanks this is for a 04 5.3 rcsb

3" should work fine, I think the pipe size is 2.75, so 3" should fit over the factory pipe.

good choice of muffler, I have the same one
I got the 3"inlet/2.5"dualoutlet.....sounds good!!!

I wanna replace the factory muffler on my truck too, i have a 4.8 regcab do you guys have the part# for that bolra muffler?

do i need a 3 inch in and a 3 inch out and does it need to be offset thanks

center in to offset out. 3"in/out just go lay under your truck for five minutes and you will have all the answers. you need to get 2.75 to 3.00 converter if you plan on clamping. weld...you just lay alot of metal on and it'll be fine i guess. even if you get offset it will be off a little, so very hard to clamp. so if you can weld go right ahead and weld it up. the play will give you enough to connect. if you cant then i suggest you take it to a shop and have them do it.

oh yeah...this is all if you want to keep stock tailpipe..if not then dont worry about any of what i said
