If you are on a stock 4L60E auto, I would suggest you keep the shift points under 6200rpms. The 4L60E doesn't like high and sudden rpm changes attributed to higher shift points. I would either dyno it or scan it to see where the power falls off at, to see how high you can spin it. My 1999 5.3L felt gutless past 5800rpms, it would fall on it's face until it shifted.
