Its a 1985 2.2l inline four. I don't hear much about them and this one popped up for the right price so I had to scoop it up. It is definitely not a power house but I just want it to put miles on instead of my car.it is in pretty good shape for the year.it is also naturally aspirated but eventually I wanna put a small turbo I have laying around on it for fun.

I think I had read somewhere that these same engines were used in refer trailers that had come with turbos. Maybe see if you could find a turbo set up and put it on your truck? See if you can find out what pump is on it and read up on it, Im sure a twist or two of the fuel screw and she'll be rollin coal

u could get them with a turbo, my dad is almost finished building a generator with this motor, they got a fourm i think for them with plenty of ppl with 300,000 to 500,000, parts are hard to find.. and the sending unit on the motor is worth more than the motor cause u can only get em used, i think. we got the motor from a guy that had it in a mazda b2600 4x4... good mileage and he runs it on biofuel.
