S&S Headers
#1
S&S headers arrived today after a 2 week wait ( arizona is a 5 day ship zone plus they went out to be ceramic coated. The details: 3/8" flanges, tri-y design, 16 gauge, the driver and passenger side are different lengths so that factory cats can be run without hitting the crossmember. The drivers side has 1 3/4" primary tubes, between 20 and 20 1/2" in lengths, 2 1/8" diameter 3 1/2" long secondary tubes into a 3" long, 2 1/2" merge collector. The passenger side is constructed the same way with exception to the primary tube length, which is between 23"
and 26". There is a pyramid wedge welded into the collector to eliminate the dead spot. $ 550.00 I'm going to put these on my 5.3 until the 6.0 is finished.

That's the coated price, pretty goood from what I saw available out there. Customer service was excellent on the phone, poor on the e-mail side. They definetely lack for pics on the site, that's why I posted up a few. From what I was told, 75% of their buz is private label, ASM for one. They may not have the resources to support full fledged direct business.

They look nice though. What made you pick these over Thorleys Tri-Y's?

These headers definitely do not fit a GMC 2006 1500. S&S was very good to give me a rga and credit. Now I have new cam, headwork, factory 5.3 exhaust until I can come up with nice headers. QTP says awesome headers coming out in the fall. Oh well
