got the 6.0 swapped in the 93 an its a beast lol but im getting an rpm output code, rpm gauge is not working, i have the harness hooked up to my dash rpm gauge but no reading. driving me crazy tht the rpm gauge just sits there, help plz.

thats kinda weird that its runnning .. because the computer has to see that signal from the crank to send the signal to fire the injectors and spark plugs.. the sensor is right above the starter if you didnt know... mine fell out once and i didnt know WTF was going on

.well we disconnected the wire from the ecu to the tach an it still threw the code so its in the tune somewhere...i just am new at this an having a hard time tracking it down, any suggestions? using hp tuners.

While I can’t say with all certainty, as I don’t know what signal your 1993 model truck is looking for, but I feel it’s a fairly simple problem due to the signal from your new ECM. When hooking up something as a tachometer on most of the newer vehicles, the item has to be set up to receive a 4cyl signal instead of the typical 8cyl. On a ’99 thru ’02 ECM, on the red connector, Pin 10, white wire, you would set it up to receive a 4 cyl, 2 pulse signal. There again, if your using the ECM from the 2006, I don’t know off the top of my head which connector holds the tach signal wire your looking for, nor the color of it.
