retard
I read in the nitrous section that you're supposed to pull out 2 degrees of timing for every 50 shot of juice. I'll be looking at the timing in my truck tomorrow and I'm wondering if there's any advantage to this other than keeping the detonation in check.

Re: retard
With nitrous, it changes the burn rate and oxygenation of the air / fuel mix. Not only is it a colder more potent mix, but it burns quicker from what I've read. That makes normal timing a little too much for running nitrous.
That may not really make sense that way I said it, but do some searches in the nitrous section for a better worded explanation. |
