Turn the key to "on", but not started. Pull the ECM-A and ECM-I fuses in the underhood fuse box. Put them both back in, at this point you should hear the fuel pump pressurize the fuel rails. Turn truck off - you are done.

Usually I turn my key to the run position, the pull the two fuses that I mentioned, let it sit for 5 minutes, turn the key off, re-insert fuses and start the truck. It seems to work for me that way.

How do you reset the computer for a 99 Sierra 5.3L. Can't remember what fuses to pull, for how long, if you need to set the parking brake??? you know the same ol' questions everybody ask...

I may have the A / B mixed up, but the other is an I not a 1. Its been since last march when I gor LS1 edit that I stopped resetting ses lights.

hi i have a 1999 chevy silverado that i just put in a new computer but know it wont star with my old it stars but i still have a missfire on cylinder 4 i took it to gm the work on it replace coil packs spark plugs and all that goes along those lines so i was told to replace computer and i did but like i said it wont star is there a way that i could reset the computer so that the car can reconice the new divice pls help any one to much money in and im about give up the gm said that i have to have computer program they will do it but i have to pay 180 is there away around this

Where did you get the PCM?

Is it a computer that needs to be programmed to have the 99 file on it or was it a computer that was already in another truck??

You could try a security relearn, sometimes that needs to be done because of the PK3 keys.
