Refreshing the engine 6.2 l92

After driving this car for more than 6 years the total miles reached 225k engine hours more than 5600hrs i started to notice that i have oil consumption about 1 to 1.5 liters every 3k i am using mobil1 5w30 ,now a days i am searching for a used tvs1900 or if not i will go for a heads and cam but i have been told by many guys that i should rebuild the engine at least pistons to ensure better relability so what do u think guys?

I agree. It need a build.

So pistons will be fine and it will bring it fit again.but what type and what size ?

Any advice?

just do a stock rebuild, or you can go .030 over and have tad bigger motor than a 6.2 ;)

if i have to rebuild my 6.2 anytime soon im going to build a torquey 427

That is why i am asking ,i checked many stroker kits availble but i dont know what to pick many cranks ,rods, and pistons dish ,flat i dont know i got mixed.

Just get the one that fit your HP goals. You want to be 10.5 to 11.1CR for pump and size???? bigger will help you build torque.

lots of variables to consider for a stroker build.

If you're going for a NA build, shoot for 11-11.5 comp ratio on 93 oct and a good tune. Before you order parts, you will need to spec everything as a system - make sure the deck height (after any block surface machining) is where it needs to be. Then pick your head gasket thickness to get the quench where you want it. I'm using Wiseco -3cc pistons with big valve reliefs, I recommend the same to avoid any PtV issues.
