Random Misfire After Cam Install
I have a 2012 Sierra 1500 and just swapped out the 5.3L for a 6.2L with a larger cam (224/230) with a 612 lift and VVT delete. Had the computer flashed with a stock 6.2L tune and am having a random misfire code coming up. How is this typically fixed during the tune using HP Tuners? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Typically by re-tuning everything.
It's going to need a full revamp of the MAF curve, VVE tables, timing tables, idle airflow, transient fueling adjustments. Sometimes depending on camshaft, the random misfire code would have to be disabled because the cam is aggressive enough to always cause the code at idle.

Can you not change the number of misfires the computer needs to see before it activates the code? Or change the rpm range where the computer checks for misfires? I had to do that on my Mustang so that the emissions check would actually show good, but I made it where it wouldn't detect the rough idle from the cams.
