Quicktime Performance Electric Cutouts. Buyer beware

Just giving you a heads up of the company.

Have been running them for about 4 years on my chevelle which is driving roughly 2000 miles a year. After the first 2 Years they were falling apart and luckly i caught them before the motor for them fell off my car. We sent them in and had to pay for them to repair them. OK fine once shit happens. Put the car on the trailer today to head to the dragstrip and what do i see... the motor completely fell off the cutout. So wow thats shitty. I call a tech for the company and talk to him and either way i have to send it in and have to pay to repair or replace the unit. I ask him how a vehicle thats only driven 2000 miles a year should have such a problem. his responces to me where "the cutout is close to the road and it has alot of vibration". i let him kindly know of coarse there is vibration its like running an open exhaust system. he kindly tells me " we do not expect our product to last". I repeated what he said to him because it caught me off guard. I asked if i should just try another company due to this problem and he agreed its worth a shot. Worst part is i gave them good review to a few people who then got them, and 2 out of the 3 of them have had problems also so far. So sorry for the long story just kind of pissed me off that either way i have to buy new one from them or just switch companys... sooo who is other people running? :judge:

there's a few bad reviews on tech about them, but some are installing them backwards.

I have a QTEC installed and the motor fell off on a road trip to California. Had to pay $35 to repair it.

Damn that is a beautiful car!!!! Anyway, had my qtp cutouts on roughly four months before the motor fell out of one and the butterfly fell out of the second one. Both happened the same week. They're fun to play with, but they suck for quality. :judge:

QTP cutouts suck ass, I can't believe how many people swear by them. I bought two of them for my dual cutout y-pipe set-up I had on the Z28 and in only two weeks one of the motors had fallen off and the other was on the verge of falling off. There was no obvious way to fix it so I e-mailed them and THEY TOLD ME that I didn't have enough clearance around the cutout motor, so it was MY fault. There was tons of clearance, there couldn't have been any more clearance short of taking them off the car. Then they wanted me to pay them to fix their piece of shit cutouts. I tossed them and went with McCord cutouts and they were awesome, and cheaper.

$600 a piece for those Dougs? thats alot...too much for me...looks like I'm staying without cutouts.
