Question about cut outs.

Default Question about cut outs.

where can i get some and what are the advantages and disadvantages of getting them? how much do they cost? what is the best style/type to get? thanks guys

http://www.quicktimeperformance.com/QTEC/ If I were to go cut outs this is the way I would go. As far as performance goes you might see a little more power stock. Bet the HP gain would increase depending on mods.

I've had it over a year and it still works great. There is some loss in low end for sure but after the blower I think it will make alot of hp being open. Right now its pretty much just to show off

so, with the cutout open...it will compliment the radix alot more? my cutout is sittin in my garage bc i wanted to make sure it would help with the boost...and not hurt it

with the blower pushing all that air, seems you want as much free-flowing exhaust as possible

hopefully I'll get my set up dynoed and I will try cutout closed vs open

Yes, it will compliment the radix. You may lose a pound of boost with it open, but that's because of less exhaust gases left over in the combustion chamber, making room for more air in. Losing boost that way is a good thing, you will have more power with the lower boost number.

Brandon. I got mine local and paid about $50 for them if I remeber correctly.
then I had them put on over at Deer park Muffler for 40 bucks.
but I am also dualed out so it will be cheeper if you just have a single pipe

Put it on. If you don't like it, then leave it closed

did you get an electric one? if so i might have you pick me one up and mail it to me. otherwise, i was thinking of just adding a manual one just for the track and maybe some friday night punk sessions!
